A Successful Banking Career of Mr. Anil Chaturvedi

After completing his bachelor of arts and graduating with honors in 1971 in Meerut University India, Anil Chaturvedi started his career in the banking industry. Later in 1973, he went to Delhi school of economics in the University of Delhi where he got his M.B.A. Mr. Chaturvedi has spent the last four decades in the banking sector and has a lot of experiences in significant areas in the banking industry. Anil has served different positions in major banks all over the world.

Anil started his career as a bank manager in the State Bank of India (SBI) in New York where he was dealing with development and planning issues. At his time, he was responsible for getting the attention of business that belonged to Indians who were not residents of the United States through his marketing strategies. His abilities to do strategic marketing led to bringing of new ventures amounting to half a billion dollar in just three years. As a result of this, he was honored with an award of the man of the year.

In 1991, he took another turn of his career where he went to ANZ Grindlays Bank where he served as the vice president and the senior representatives for US operations. Here he was the head of operations where he dealt with product development. In his capacity, he was also responsible for coming up with profitable models that were used in the bank. Mr. Anil Chaturvedi spent only two years before leaving for Merrill Lynch in 1993.

At Merrill Lynch, he assumed the position of managing director where he was the private banker dealing with Indians at the global level who are located in Asia, India, USA, and Europe. During his leadership, Anil was able to provide investment solutions for the ultra-rich persons. In Merrill Lynch, he spent two decades.

In 2011, he moved to Hinduja bank in Geneva, Switzerland where up to date he is serving in the position of managing director. For the last seven years, Mr. Chaturvedi has been handling the sales and structuring of distressed properties, smooth the progress of cross-border alliances for corporate across the globe and other functions.
